Well with the season upon us it seems to have crept up on me somewhat!! Shame they don't really do Nativity plays here, i do miss those from home...still, plenty more new and interesting things that can be found here! Holiday photo Christmas cards....Yes!! I gave in to the traditions of our cousins and found myself making the family Christmas card to distribute across the globe to loved ones! I can only imagine the laughs my family will get out of those!!
With the weather here in sunny Georgia still pretty fine (apart from the early morning that is) it's hard to think that soon enough we will be opening the gifts and stuffing ourselves silly to whatever sweet thing has been made to indulge ourselves on!!
O, so this year we are setting out to Illinois to be with my husbands family this year and it's been hard to keep it from the kiddos and this year I also had to have the "chat" with my son (No not THAT chat) the one about the big guy in red...yeah it's sad and I didn't want to do it so soon, he is 8 years old now, it seems like they are growing too fast, but as it turns out he already knew! my heart dropped...I was pleased I didn't have to be the one to break his heart and shatter the fantasy..but he is enjoying being part of a bigger secret that we can make a reality for the little ones....so I guess it's now something that he can be involved in which is kind of nice and a new mom and son thing we can do together.
Will it be a white Christmas in the Mid-West?? well reports are that i will be struggling to drive in around 18 inches of snow....I know right?? I have no idea how my beautiful Cable-knit UGGS are gonna deal with that..also suede is not a good idea...may have to retort to the wonder that is the Welly Boot!! I wonder if they still do them for adults with frogs on????
The car will be packed with food and gifts..the kids and husband will be sleeping most of the way and I can't help but feel like Santa..all i need are a few reindeer!! Wish me luck...and if I don't get to you before next Saturday have a wonderful holiday, stay safe and remember somewhere around the table there is an empty place where our military should be this year....God Bless them wherever they are and we wish you home safe very soon. Merry Christmas to all.....and to all a good night!

Thanksgiving with the Mosier-Ortiz-Browns!!!
Well this year was definitely a new one for me...I never knew you could DEEP FRY a turkey for one thing!!
We had to have this cooked outside and it was very much the mans job this year, not that I minded though..i was left to make another unusual dish for me ( as if all this wasn't different enough for the Brit that I am) Sweet Potatoes with marshmallows???? Oh people why oh why?!!! It was a bizarre taste i have to say but definitely an interesting one!
So we had a huge dinner at our house with an untold number of kiddos running about and having to do the emergency chairs thing and taking it in shifts to feed everyone starting with our kids who we all seemed to huddle over..each parent to thier child, willing them on to EAT FASTER....almost like a telepathic look , you know, like the one your mum used to give you if you never ate all your sprouts....ugh...just so we could still eat the mix of warm and cooler dishes (depending on which one had sat out the longest !!!) delicious it was and i am looking forward to next year, but the sad thing about that is that the faces around the table were different last year and they will be different again next year.....I guess that's the military for you but it does mean that every year you have something and somebody different to be thankful for.Not to mention a bunch of new friends to remember to add to the Christmas card list this year!
We also included our little Blossom's 1st birthday celebration this week too.....a distinct cupcake mess to say the least!! Since we gave her pressies to open too she now seems to think that everything under the tree is for her as well now....Rookie error....it has now become a game of cat and mouse around the room as to where she is and the leaps from the couch as we hear the rustling of paper from behind us followed by the war cry of "NOOOOOOO" !!!
Naturally she thinks it's hilarious. Would a small electric fence around the presents this year be entirely inappropriate???
Well bloggers...here is to tackling the next holiday that is swiftly descending upon us!! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and here is to the madness we call Christmas....let's now forget the real reason for the holiday and give thanks for all we have around us this year...HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Introduction to me!
Well this is a new thing for me and I have been told i should start this as a little insight to my little family (well not exactly little but you will see) I am married to my wonderful husband Paul who is currently serving in the US Army and I am from England...we have 5 beautiful children and currently live in Augusta,GA.
Life can get a little testing with so many children and you have to become a little creative in how to get through those times with a smile and not retorting to a glass of red and a dark room!
I can't wait to hear about all your ideas you have for getting through the tough times....Deployments,TDY's and general mish mash that goes along with being a military wife and mother!
I too will be adding my ideas and woes of the week so introduce yourselves and lets get through this roller coaster we call life with a smile and a friend right???
